Final dial and final seal design

The idea is the dial has a square notch in the middle that the seal fits over and can be turned.

SEAL MATERIAL IS NOT FINAL YET. I'll be doing a materials pass soon, but here are the designs and mechanics for modeling/texturing purposes :)

super hella rough reaction machine lol

sun goddess statue is a machine that reacts to the dial/day-night change.  guardians on the side.

haha what is perspective i'm tired

'Reaction' machine idea

Still working on it, but here, a miniature version of the world the story takes place in is in this crystal ball and when you turn the dial, the statue (a machine) turns the ball.  But the world inside stays still and the only thing that moves inside is the sun/moon.  (Based on a Hawaiian legend - the world is flat and the sky is a dome that moves around it giving day/night)

Temple Dial Concept Model

I made this model based on these Tibetan Buddhist mandala images. Each section of the dial has 13 sides, representing 13 different moon cycles (or it can be adjusted to however many), and the other identical sections are just placeholders (since there's only one moon). The eight steps leading into the dial arena represent the Eightfold Path prominent in Buddhism.
