An awesome reference a vis dev friend of mine pointed me to. Apparently this is a FB group that has periodic topics for the masses to submit a design for. A recent one was - you guessed it - MONKS! Obviously some of these are pretty bad. But well worth digging through because some of them are aweeeeeesommme!!!!

Curtain Variations

After that email about the CS guys wanting to do cloth simulations, what if the dial was behind a giant curtain?

Shaolin Temple Refrence Videos

This shows the inside as pretty bare bones, exposed brick and maybe some charcoal drawings on the walls.

This one shows a crazy awesome blue tiled roof and veils over the windows. Also electric chandeliers along with candle light.

This one is probably my favorite. It doesn't film inside the temple but has a great walk through of the courtyard. Look at those stone staircases!

Tigers Nest variations

Getting this visdev thing started off with some variations on this image that was posted earlier. Pretty much just working on silhouettes at this point.

Original Storyboards

BUT GUYS HAVE YOU SEEN HOW COOL INDONESIA IS???

POST LABELS! :D

Hey friends! I've set up a couple of labels to tag our posts full of image references and videos with. All of the image posts should be labeled with the IMAGE REF label, and the video posts labeled with the VIDEO REF label, but we can also label image posts by country name for finer categorizing. If everyone could put labels on their posts, that would be excellent! Thanks everyone :)

In the meantime, here's some cool pictures of Thailand I found.
